About Andi

Hi, I’m Andi - a Hispanic artist living in San Diego with her big, neurodiverse family.

I create surface patterns for licensing to companies big and small, bookish tees, and clever home decor items for people just like you.

My mission is to make you smile with my playful patterns and colorful illustrations.

And here’s some random trivia about me if you’re into that sort of thing:

  • I can see about as well as a newborn, so the thicker the glasses the better they hide my giant lenses. My mind is always blown that people can wake up and just see.

  • Whenever we travel we look for the best local ice cream or gelato joint. Trial and error can be delicious!

  • Spanish was my first language and I didn’t learn English until I was 2 1/2. Sometimes my brain just thinks in Spanish, or I just forget the English word. I recently realized that most people watching I Love Lucy don’t understand what Ricky is yelling about, but it’s crystal clear to me and even has my dad’s accent.

  • In N Out > every other hamburger ever.

  • My five kiddos are also responsible for teaching me to have a growth mindset: I can learn anything with practice. And isn’t that what so much of art is: stretching ourselves by learning new techniques and mediums to create art that no one has ever seen before?

  • I love to read! Not sure if I have a fave genre, but I generally enjoy theology books, discovering classics I hadn’t read (Anne of Green Gables!), fun easy to read novels, I steal my girls’ American Girl books sometimes, and Harry Potter. I also try to plan trips to visit places we’ve seen in movies or read about in books. Like that one time I dragged everyone to Casa Bonita…
